Shammah Splendid Centre School was born out of a powerful vision—to transform lives through education and make Kibra a desirable place to live in the future.
Founded by Isaac Agalo, the school is a testimony of resilience, faith, and determination. Raised in the challenging environment of Kibra, Isaac experienced firsthand the struggles of poverty, lack of basic needs, and limited access to education. Despite these hardships—including studying without electricity, missing school due to lack of fees, and growing up in a single-parent household—he remained steadfast in his belief that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Through hard work, perseverance, and the support of well-wishers, Isaac excelled academically and pursued higher education. However, his greatest dream was not just personal success—it was to give back to the community that shaped him.Driven by this vision, he founded Shammah Splendid Centre School, starting with just three children in a small rented room. What began as a humble initiative has grown into a thriving institution with over 400 learners, providing access to quality and holistic education to children from underserved backgrounds.
The school was established to address the challenges faced by children in informal settlements—lack of access to education, exposure to social vices, and limited opportunities for growth. Today, Shammah stands as a beacon of hope, offering not only academic excellence but also mentorship, life skills, and a nurturing environment where every child is valued.
Despite ongoing challenges such as limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and financial constraints, the school continues to grow and impact lives. Through feeding programs, community outreach, and dedicated teachers—many of whom began as volunteers—Shammah remains committed to its mission.

The institution has already produced graduates who have gone on to become professionals in various fields, proving that with opportunity, guidance, and determination, every child can succeed.
